Meet Our Herd

The horses at the heart of our mission.

At Unbridled Paths, our horses are more than animals they are healers, partners, and gentle teachers. Each one plays a special role in helping our riders build confidence, find connection, and experience moments of joy and healing.

Why Our Horses Matter

Behind every ride, every smile, and every breakthrough, there is a horse helping make it happen. Our horses provide more than movement they offer trust, connection, confidence, and comfort to the children, adults, and families we serve.

Each horse requires approximately $12,000 per year for feed, hay, supplements, farrier care, veterinary care, training, and daily support. Through our Support the Herd campaign, donors help keep our horses healthy, cared for, and ready to serve.

Meet Prince

With his gentle eyes and steady spirit, Prince has a special gift for helping people feel safe, confident, and accepted. As one of the trusted therapy horses at Unbridled Paths, he patiently guides riders through moments of growth, celebrating every small victory along the way.

Prince is a calm and dependable Quarter Horse whose quiet nature makes him an exceptional partner for children and adults of all abilities. Whether someone is riding for the very first time or building new skills each week, Prince meets every rider with patience, kindness, and unwavering trust.

His impact reaches far beyond the riding arena. Through every lesson, Prince teaches courage, builds confidence, and reminds each rider that progress happens one step at a time. He is more than a therapy horse—he is a faithful partner in the healing journey.

Thanks to the generosity of the Greifeld Foundation, Prince's stall was proudly sponsored, providing him with a comfortable home where he can continue changing lives for years to come.

Don't let her small size fool you—Buttercup has one of the biggest hearts in our herd. As our beloved miniature horse, she has a special way of making everyone feel welcome. Her gentle personality, curious nature, and calm presence instantly bring smiles to children and adults alike.

Buttercup is often the very first horse many visitors meet. Whether she's greeting guests at the farm, participating in community events, or bringing comfort through our Minis on the Move outreach program, she creates connections that words often cannot. For children who may feel nervous around horses, Buttercup offers the perfect introduction. Her patient spirit helps build confidence, trust, and lasting memories.

Wherever Buttercup goes, she carries joy with her. She reminds us that you don't have to be the biggest to make the greatest impact.
